Capt. Chuck,
I was talking with Don Herman yesterday regarding the installation of my bracket and I was asking about the transom drain and he suggested I look at the keel drain on your boat. There are several questions I have which are: 1) What size plug is it 1/2" or 3/4".2)It looks like there is a flat area where the plug is mounted. If that is so I don't have that flat area on my 23. The only flat area is on either side of the keel (which is approx. 3" high)which means it will have to be mounted at an angle(the deadrise), which could interfer with the operation of the t-handle. Any oberservations, thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. |

The drain is 3/4"
I'm lost here somewhat. What year is your hull that there is not a flat portion at the keel ![]() I would think that once the drain sleeve is mounted for measurements in the center, it could be fared out all around without difficulty, then screwed in with 5200. Here is a close up picture of the drain. ![]()
