Default Trailer question: Bunk placement

Guys-

I have gotten rid of the 23 year old roller trailer in favor of a new Loadmaster with bunks fore and aft. My question is where do I place the aft bunks on a 23' SC hull?

Do I want them on the outermost chine or the second one in? I could sure use some help on this one as I am going to the ramp to try and fit it tomorrow. If anyone has a photo that would be a huge help to me too!

Thanks!!!!

You want to look inside the boat, to see where the boat's stringers are - then match that up with, as close as you can, with where the bunks set on the outside of the hull.

For my 23' Tsunami, looking from the aft, it is the first chine from the side of the boat, about 1" in, toward the centerline. I also have centerline rollers for keel support.

Good luck.

yo Hoop

I have a Loadmaster also. The bunks are set at 55" from outside to outside of the bunks. This works for me without issues. You can always adjust them if your not satisfied.

Chuck,

Are your bunkers cantilevered to match the hull? I cannot tell by the picture.

There is also a new plastic bunk by Performance Trailer.
They will custom cut them to fit your boat.
I plan to change out mine when the re-do starts on the
Secptre.
