Default Where to buy used engines....

I have been reading this site for awhile, and I have really enjoyed it. Some of the boats that have been restored are truly works of art. I would love to be able to achieve that someday.

I am looking at 23' that needs new engines, but I can only afford used. Is there a good place to look on the interent for used engines? I have search boattrader, but I have no information on the people I could potentially be buying from.

Thanks for the help,

Palmetto

When you say engines that means your looking for twins?? I know a single 250 would work very good. I have a dealer friend that picked up 3 Evinrude DI motors 2003 in the box WITH the 7yr warrenty locked up. Our friend grabbed the 200 but he still has a 225 and 250, I would guess that would price them in the used arena- his # is 727 938 9796 - MIke and Mario are the owners and mario is a forum member with a '78 23. Who knows they may have something else as well but great guys none the less.

Try boatmotors.com or iboats.com- they have a nice selection of used outboards and most come with warranties. Also try edsmarinesuperstore.com- they have great prices on new engines and also have some used for sale- they are located in VA and could probably ship to you.
