Default Plenty of whales, no tuna!!

Tried looking for some SBFT today, plenty of bait, bluefish and whales, but no tuna. First fish of the day was a 38" striper caught on a squid rig at 6 knots. Heres a few pics:

Heres what a whale looks like under the boat.

Great shots! How far east did you run? I would love to do some whale watching / trolling next week! Dink

north of p-town about 10 miles by the "BE" buoy. Doing it all over again tommorrow. Nobody was hooking up to anything but blues today, weird the environment looked perfect. But not even a sighting of any BFT.

Chance-

Real nice pictures!

The giants were on the NW corner of Stellwagen earlier in the week. A guy from the marina I work at, brought in a 720lber on the 3rd of July. Caught in on squid bar at 9am...

Chance,
Great shot of the whale breaching. I've seen a lot of whales out there but never experienced that. Let's hope the SBFT are around next Saturday.
