Perhaps this has been answered here before, but I did a search and could not find.
I've seen that in some of the model years around 2000, there are two 20' models - a "Classic" and a "Master Angler". - What are the differences? - Is one more desirable / why? - Can anyone post comparative pics? Thanks much - |

I am not too sure which but I think it is the Master Angler that has the integrated coffin box infront of the console. and the classic just has the center console.

click on this link, there are photos of both the models you are inquiring about:
http://www.yachtcharterguide.com/builder.asp?ID=537 It would appear as though once the console/s were removed, you be left with two identical boats. One has a simple console without a seat and the other has the coffin-box console. |

Wasn't the MA the Stu Apte (sp) model? Supposed to be set up for fly fishing? Seems like I remeber looking at them around that time.

I have a 2001 20MA, in general the hull is identical to the 2001 20 classic. The differences between the two that I am aware of are
- MA has divided "coffin box seating" attached to the front of console that is extra storage and a 2nd live well - I think the helm position is farther back on the MA (I assume to accommodate the "coffin box") which makes it a little tight at the back of the boat. My MA has a small round bar stool type helm seat, which helps that space issue. I like my 20MA for the extra storage and seating (great for taking a nap waiting for the tide) Get in touch if you have any questions. |
