Default SeaCraft and other center consoles @ NYC Boat Show

Ok everyone

I went to the New York boat show. Here is a quick price quiz. Match up the boat with the price range:

1. Fighting Lady Yellow 2007 23' sf SeaCraft w/t top, nice leaning post, electronic box & 250 HP ETEC
a.$50k/$55k b.$60k/$65k c.$80k/$85k d.$100k/105k

2. 2007 24' Boston Whaler Outrage w/t top, nice leaning post, electronic box & twun 150 HP Verado's
a.$50k/$55k b.$60k/$65k c.$80k/$85k d.$100k/105k

3. 2007 23' Regulator w/t top, nice leaning post, electronic box & 250 Yamaha
a.$50k/$55k b.$60k/$65k c.$80k/$85k d.$100k/105k

4. 2007 22' Grady White Center Console w/t top, nice leaning post, electronic box & 250 HP Yamaha
a.$50k/$55k b.$60k/$65k c.$80k/$85k d.$100k/105k

5. 2007 23' Hydra-Sport Vector w/t top, nice leaning post, electronic box & 225 HP Mercury
a.$50k/$55k b.$60k/$65k c.$80k/$85k d.$100k/105k

Here are the answers:
1B, 2D, 3C, 4B, 5A

I almost passed out when I saw the price of the whalers.

Here is some other information that was passed along to me at the show. Please take it with a grain of salt.

Only 100 or so SeaCrafts will be made this year. Tracker is still trying to get their new plant up to speed and is focusing on cranking out Mako's more than SeaCraft's. Right now if you want a 23 footer and the dealer does not have it in stock it will take 12 weeks to get the boat.

Tracker has finally figured out that they can not mass produce SeaCraft's. It will become more and more a boutique boat for them. They will be increasing the price big time next year.

Tracker won't give you a great deal on a SeaCraft that has been sitting at a dealer's lot. They would rather move the inventory to another dealer than to start a pricing war between dealers.

Peter

PS IMHO the tank of the show was the new 32' true World Marine boat web page

What do you think this bad boy sells for? I am guessing around $180k to $200k.

Frankly the complaints on new SC's was that they were trying make them production boats and people always looked for them to be top tier-the 2 don't mix unless you have excellent QC. Make them slower and raise the price, thats what they always where, don't try and re-invent the wheel type thing.

Last year the 06 Seacraft 23 with a 250 Merc Opti was 76 or 80 at the PVD boat show... The Silverhawk/Topaz looked sweeter
