Default cneter console size

Do you think a console that comes off a 23' which is 42" wide is too wide for a 20' SF? The normal width for this is 34" to 36" wide. I do want room to walk the boat but I also want a slightly larger console than what I've got. Thoughts?

saw it on ebay, bid on it, won it, so if I have to purchase this console, I'll be posting it for sale here. Nice condition too. Thanks, Strick.

How big is your current console that you are trying to replace with a larger one? I'll trade you my large console out of my 20' for your smaller one.
