Toddslures Tournament 27 Progress Pictures
Here are a few progress pictures of the project.
[image]http://[/image] This is before the sanding and stripping of the hull. [image]http://[/image] After most sanding and primer. [image]http://[/image] Spray rails by Smart Marine installed. [image]http://[/image] More sanding and grinding on bottom, more issues than expected. [image]http://[/image] Now there is paint and new gelcoat. [image]http://[/image] [image]http://[/image] [image]http://[/image] We ended up with new gelcoat on the bottom and cap with paint on the sides. The interior will also end up with new gelcoat. Jason has all the in between progress pictures to be posted into the gallery. Now that I have this phot thing figured out I will keep them coming.

Re: Toddslures Tournament 27 Progress Pictures
The transom door was not stock. We closed the transom creating an insulated fish box / live well. The opening is going to have the door on the transom. As well as a cover door so the top will be flush all the way across, it will be the same form as the rest of the transom cap. I will post pitures of that when it is done as well. From a distance it should look like a completly closed transom.

Re: Toddslures Tournament 27 Progress Pictures
That would be a question for Will at Bayside Marine services, he is doing the glass work for me.
941-702-1839 www.baysidemarineservices.com It was done for a more durable suface that will last longer than any paint and will not show the scratches like paint.

Re: Toddslures Tournament 27 Progress Pictures
Todd, The color combo is awesome, I am going to do my bottom with Gelcoat as well. I was leaning towards all white, but now I am not sure. Keeping the Tuna Door open?
How long before you are done?

Then the rigging and plumbing begins. I am hoping to have it in the water by the Dania Flea Market gathering.
Are you talking about doing the entire boat white?

Re: Toddslures Tournament 27 Progress Pictures
I may shoot down to Dania for a day to look for a muffler, maybe I can check out your boat in person. Need good pics of the door and transom area when you are done, I may copy it if I can. I may go all white (76 Off white), I love the way the transom looks white, I may go white bottom with a deep blue, (almost black) sides, and keep the transom white. If I do, I will route the exhaust out the side. decisions, decisions.

Re: Toddslures Tournament 27 Progress Pictures
One more question, which model smart rail did you get? Are they glued or screwed? How many pennies am I looking at, for a set?

Re: Toddslures Tournament 27 Progress Pictures
kerneltugboat,
You can take all the pictures you need and use any of the designs that have been incorporated into the boat. I hope to see you in Dania this year as well. I will get the info and model #'s for the Smart Rails for you tomorrow at the shop. They are glued on, you have to grind down to the bare fiberglass to attach them. With two of us standing on them they did not move at all. I have not found anyone that has had a problem with them. I used one and a half sets of them so there is 13 1/2 feet of sprail rails on each side.
