Considering most guys would want twins for anything seriously offshore, the 1600# weight is going to be a tough nut to work with.

They're going to need to offer this beast in a 35" or 40" length ...... well, unless it runs ok completely submerged at times.

Lots of SKA boats now running triple 225/250's, with a total engine weight of over 1800-1900 lbs. Twin 350's with a total weight of 1606 seems to me to be a better solution.

And this looks like a good idea for a single on the back of a 23'

Of course, twin 250's on a flotation bracket on the back of a Sceptre still look better sitting at the dock.
I saw a yellow one this week at Crackers restaurant in Crystal River w/ older twin 250 2 stroke Yamaha's.

I like the thought of another 100hp on my 23' but @ $26k when I only paid $7,500 for my hull is outside my retirement budget

You know Capt Chuck there is a rewarding career waiting for you at Wally Mart putting smiley faces on all of the shoppers that enter the store.
By the year 2010 you should have enough saved up to spring for that big Zoom, Zoom.
Although that drug test thing maybe a problem if your a little HOT!!
See ya, Ken

Of course you could come to work for me, Our posted sign

I'm sure we'll be seeing twins and tripples of that engine on the back of boats very shortly. It's a case of "if you build it bigger/faster/more costly, they will buy it".

I saw it at the Miami show as well and it looks big really to big but it seems that outboard are going crazy now a days. I think the 300 hp 2 stroke Yamaha would make a lot more sense to me.
