Limited ClassicSeaCraft Rod
Here's the scoop.
RodMan is willing to to make a custom "Classic Seacraft" limited rod. A lamiglas 40lb rod blank with wrap cork grips, fugi reel seat, and fugi silicon nitride II rings(wire or mono).Option roller tip (Aftco) or regular tip (fugi)either can be used for mono or wire.Color of rod can be white, black, or honey. This rod retails for app. 400.00 in Conn.and in black retails for app. 600.00.(Hard to wrap black on black) I would like to make a black rod with gold accent,(gimble, reel seat, and thread)labled, Limited Edition Classic Seacraft 1 of 1 2008 Rome's Custom Rods Owner's Name All proceeds (It will be an on site bidding ) will go to this site and I will even pay for the shipping. This site has given me so much info. that its my turn to give back. I will post photos of a rod that I built which I would like to build for this site.It is black with gold accent and looks great. This would be a limited edition to only one rod per year and I would like to do this every year (only one rod per year) if it sounds like a good idea I would like input and any ideas to make this work. (I have built this rod for commercial fisherman on Cape Cod for striped bass and they love it). I have had this rod with a penn 349(wire) to a everol(mono) and pulling in a 40 lbs. plus stripers, great rod action. Photo will be posted-- |

Re: Limited ClassicSeaCraft Rod
It is a seven foot rod,the guides on this rod are fugi's new saltwater concept made from silicon nitride II,you can even run wire line through them and they are 30% lighter than the standard heavy duty guides, the frames are made from stainless steel, black chrome finish to fight corrosion. The roller tip is aftco, some guys like roller tip with wire and some like standard tip for mono (sometime mono or superbraids can get pinched or jamed in the roller tip),either tip will handle wire or mono. For a long time they used carbide guides, try switching a old salt,-- He loves the rod, stated"wire line goes through the guides just as smooth as mono".
