Good luck! I may be heading north one of these days myself when I find a good deal.

If you find a boat I know where a NEW '03 225 with 6.5 yrs warrenty can be had for 12,500, just FYI, say 4K for a hull =16,500,if it has a motor just pay what you can sell it for just a thought.

IMHO, get the boat you want. If you keep it long enough you'll change motors several times. They don't last near as long as a hull.

Hardhead,
I live about 3 miles from Millway - perhaps I can be of some assistance - let me know.

I would appreciate that if you have the time to take a quick look at that 73 it would save me a 7 hour drive.

I called on the '73 a while back. He said transom had been done over but the deck(s) may need to be replaced. I never went to look at the boat but that was a while ago.

I looked at the 85 not the 73 down at Millway. The 85 is in really good shape. The transome is solid it has nice bow cushions and a sweet leaning post. The decks had a couple of soft spots and the boat needed a few cosmetic upgrades like the console trim. But all in all it was a nice boat. i almost bought it but found a better deal instead. Dana is the guy you want to look for over there.
