Default 20' SF 1987 - Need Advice

Hello All,

I'm strongly considering a well maintained 20' SuperFisherman 1987 (listed under the For Sale section below) and would GREATLY appreciate any feedback/insight you may have regarding the ride, construction, manufacture, history (1987 was not a Potter Built boat I believe) What should I look out for, pro's and con's etc... with this boat.

It seems to be very well maintianed with no rot, stress cracks, soft spots etc... SHe also comes with a 1997 YAHAMA 150 2-Stroke Engine: S150TXRV.

I mainly fish in 2-3' seas around Block Island, Montauk, LI Sound... but need to make the run from RI and CT coastline before I get into the fishing grounds. When i'm not fishing, i'm wakeboarding and watersking.

Should be a great boat but would greatly appreciate any feedback from the CSC Veterans.

Cheers,

I have a 1969 20 and fish the exact waters as you, I live in Newport and have taken my 20 to the Mud Hole, around Block and all over the Newport reefs/ledges.

My most favorite trip is to drop the boat in the water in South Dartmouth and run across Buzzards bay to the Naushon Islands in Oct/Nov

Can I take my 20 out there every day....NO. But on days I would want to go fishing the 20 is perfect for me these are 1-2ft days. 2-3 will get you soaked, but not beaten, in a 20

By the way the 1987 in the trading dock looks like a real nice boat, very clean with a fantastic power plant.

good luck

I just looked and agree it does look very well maintained and equipped so should be pretty much turn key and your off. Welcome aboard Admiral
