The 150 will pull-it, It is stopping it that you have to be concerned with. I tow the 20 SF with a Dodge 1500 with a 360. When I towed the 23 Sceptre with NO engines there was a big difference. There are ramps that the 1/2 ton will give you a problem as well. When the Sceptre goes through re-hab (hopefully before the end of the year) I will be looking at 3/4 ton Dodge's. I have had good luck with the last three Dodge's. It is all a matter of what works for you. My miles per gallon is about 8 towing and 16 not.
When I had a 3/4 ton Suburban it got 12 towing and 14 not, go figure. All you can do is try it.
See ya, Ken

Oh yeah, good luck with the new SeaCraft arrival!!!

Congrats on your purchase!!!

The F150 will work. Brakes on the trailer is a must!
FYI: I pull my 23 with my Bronco (351ci) all over the state without issues. I just yanked it to the Anclote gathering (400 mile trip) Also I pulled my cousins 24' Silverhawk (twin 150hp) from Homestead back to Jupiter with the same truck.

BTW: Great year and whats your Hull number ?

I pull our 23 with a 2 wheel drive F150 no problem but without the trailer brakes it would be bad. All these old folks driving here...

It will do just fine. Pulled my 23' with a Chevy 1500 and got about 10 miles to the gallon from West Palm Beach to Morehead, NC. Here in town I pull it with my Tacoma (2wd, 4 cylinder) and it even does fine. Thats up the ramp, down the ramp and it is even full of gas (120 gallons)! Hard to beat a Yota!!

I second what the others said. I pull my 23 SF with a 1/2 ton 4WD GMC. No problem pulling even on steep slippery ramps. The best thing I did was put on the trailer DISC brakes. When stopping you don't even know it is there. 1 day to install, don't put off the brakes!
