Default Intake/livewell questions

On my 20' I plan on putting a 20 or 30 gallon livewell underneath the leaning post. I also am building a box similar to a 23' across the raised and enclosed transom. In the corners I will have two small livewells, something like 3 gallons each. I also plan on mounting a raw water washdown system. Now my question is if I have a water pickup beneath my leaning post for the large livewell, will I also be able to use the same water pickup for the two small pitch wells in the back and a washdown system? I guess I could always put another pickup back near the transom for the washdown and two small pitch wells. The less holes and complications the better. Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

IMO, I would have two separate thru hull pickup scoops each positioned with a seacock and easy access. Trying to run 4 different intake lines, outfall drains, wiring and switching valves will be a nightmare and lousy pressure as the end result

I would get a good combo live well/washdown pump like the "Shurflo Pro Baitmaster 4gpm" plumbed to a 2-way valve for the pitch wells and washdown operations. I would keep the intake line as short as possible thus maintaining good pressure. (approx $165)

For the main bait well, I would config a stand alone 800-1100 gph "Rule Bait Sentry"pump for the main bait tank. (approx $75)

BTW: If you had just one pump and it breaks down, kiss off your live bait and the washdown all at once. Use a Hydra coil type washdown hose long enuff to act as a secondary intake line should your dedicated bait tank pump takes a dump, you can just uncoil it and throw it in the well to keep the bait fresh and or squirt your girlfriend off when she gets hot

Multiple pumps and high speed pick-ups would be the way to go with 3 wells. My bait pump has the washdown pick-up built in.

Thanks for the info I will go with the two seperate pumps. Now another question though, if I go with two intake one will be about 4 ft ahead of the other on the same side of the keel. If I mount my ducer on the opposite side of the keel basically side by side with the rear intake do you guys see any problems with interference to the ducer. Also will the two scoops only 4 ft apart one directly behind the other cause any problems. Thanks a lot for all the help.

I just put a washdown/livewell setup in my 23. Put in a bronze pickup with seacock, hose to the pump, hose to a tee, hose to a cock for the washdown and another to a cock in the livewell. With the livewell cock shut off, your washdown pressure will be full, livewell flow is throttled by the cock. With the livewell open, I don't suspect the washdown would have much pressure, but I can close the livewell when I'm washing down,
I think that's good enough.
