Default Seadek custom pads

Hey everyone, I have been browsing around and participating on the forum for just a little while now and appreciate all the help and advice on the restore of my boat. I will soon be posting some updates and pics. I work for a company called seadek. We do a lot of custom work for many different boat builders and also some custom stuff for individuals. We use a cnc machine to do custom logos and designs for people on a variety of products we make. After I saw the custom logos for the shirts and stickers, I thought we could do a similar logo on a helm pad if you guys wanted one. For those not familiar with the product or what exactly it is either check out the website www.seadek.com or just post questions if you have any. I am not trying to drum up business or anything like that b/c we are almost to busy right now to keep up with what we have. I just though if I get enough interest in it and people want them, I will do a mock up pad and post some pictures of it for you guys. Thanks a lot and let me know what you guys think.

Cool,

Where do you see these going on our SeaCrafts? I have a 1972 23' SF.

Do I place one in front of my leaning post? What other possible locations are your customers using these?

Also, what kind of Logo do you think we should have put on them (Classic SeaCraft)?

Peter

The do combing bolsters now too and I have heard good reviews. Actually in my other boat I was going to do the whole floor, if your floor is less than pristene it could be an excellent option. Its quite reasonable if you by it in sheets a cut it yourself.

We make a varitey of pads in different thicknesses to cover anything you need to from flooring to undergunnel pads that protect your reels from banging around in the rod holders. I was primarily talking about a helm pad that would be placed in between a leaning post and your console. Yes we also are doing bolsters now and they are beginning to catch on. Its a nice alternative to the traditional bolster. I was trying to get everyones input as far as the custom logo goes. I figure we might have to be careful about using the exact logo that seacraft currently uses, but any ideas would be great. I will post some pictures of some of the custom logos we have done and things we can do. When and if I ever finish my restore we will be doing some very neat things with the product including basically a full floor kit instead of the traditional non skid.

How do the combing bolsters attach?

These are some pictures of mine. I have had them on for over a year. Still holding up well. They have been accidentally poked, stabbed and cut and you could barely tell anything has happened to them. With my old vinyl bolsters I would have had to replace them.

They are easy to install. It attaches to the boat with an adhesive backing.

In short so far I am impressed.

Looks like these guys decided to use the classic seacraft who posted above as a sample:

http://www.seadek.com/PageCoamingPads.html
(first picture on the bottom, also the one next to it?)

Any feed back on these guys? They seem like a better way to go than the vinyl stitched version. Like 300 fun tickets versus 800 fun tickets, and possibly more durable. Did anyone try to get colored versions? Or classic seacraft logos?

I'm happy with mine after a year. The blood washes right off at the end of the day. The old bolsters would soak up water no matter how well I sealed them. I think I took 100 lbs off the boat when I switched to the seadeck.
I would consider the color versions. The white is really white.

I haven't seen their bolsters. I have fished from a flats skiff with their floor. It's nice stuff and very good for fly-fishing: it keeps your running line from squirreling around, but does not snag it or slow down the shoot
