Default whats your Top End on 23s

I have a 23' Sceptre with a 200 Mariner 2.5 carbed...no bracket or hard top(pretty much factory weight) I don't think I have alot of pitch on the aluminum prop as it gets out of the hole very well.
My GPS says I am going all out 36-37 mph close to 6000 revs.
I am curious what other people are running and topping out at in any 23' configuration (sf,mf,cc...bracket or not. I am thinking of a bracket and an E-tec 250 or Suzuki 300fs but this motor is a great runner!
Please add any info...thanks, joe

Your boat looks awesome...I am thinking of the same color scheme with Awlgrip. What do you have on for props.
What would you estimate a 250 E-tec will doe on a Sceptre with a bracket?

I would guess that you could get somewhere between 46 and 48 mph with an ETC 250.

I am using Yamaha SWS props (21" pitch and 14 & 7/8 diameter). Also, I just moved the engines up 2 brackets.

I'm low 40's w/250 2s Yam., bracket, (probably mounted too low) w/17 Yam. ss prop., 1/2 tank, calm, best conditions, etc. I will have more HP at re-power, for what that's worth....
