Default is my boat a potter built

i just purchased a 1981 sea craft, the hull identification no. is secf30091080, could this be a potter built hull? I was told it was.

Why yes it is. The first three letters SEC says it all.

is there a back up way of telling if it is a potter built besides SEC, because i can't make out the first three numbers on the hull, but all my paper work says SEC.
