Ride characteristics: 77 23' Septre with 225 Merc

What to expect in terms of ride and performance from this rig ?

IF the motor is healthy, and there isn't a bunch of weight added to the boat (top/etc), cruise at about 27, top end of about 41 with 2 people, light load. I have a merc 250 efi on mine, with a large top, and I cruise at about 26, buring 14 gph or so, with a top end of about 40 with 4 anglers, and a bunch of gear. Alot will depend on the prop, I am using a 4 blade power tech. I gave up 2 mph in speed, but picked up alot in economy and stern lift.

I agree with JOHNB. I have 225 efi Suzuki and almost identical numbers. Top, 130 gal fuel and four people cruse 26 mph at 13.5 gph. Top end 36mph loaded.

Going with twin 150 Yamaha's four strokes on my 23 Savage project.

I have a 2004 Merc Opti 225- burns 11gal hour at 4000 rpm. Top speed with Lt load is 42mph at 5200rpm. Friend of mine says I should be turning around 5800 rpm. I am running a Mirage SS prop.

PS- LOVE THE ENGINE!!!
