Hi Guys;

Well I would like to report “I’m Still Alive” I’ve been on a roller coaster ride since June and been pretty much tide up. I went down to the keys on vacation the first week of June, with the boat. Came back to work and the day I got back I GOT MY PINK SLIP. After being with the firm for 18 years they said, thanks, good by, and have a good life. Felt like I got torpedoed in the middle of the night. I have been looking at the Web sight from time to time but didn’t have time or desire to just jump in on any threads. I’ve been doing some soul searching trying to figure out what to do next. Been in the Insurance business for 20 years and thought it might be a good idea to possibly make a change and try doing something else if I could. To make any really money in the Insurance business it takes approx 3 to 5 years of hard work to rebuild a clientele I’m 60 now, so buy the time I started making good money again it would be about time to retire. It’s still a option for me but maybe it’s time to change. I’ve been trading stock for the last 3 months, in my learning curb. Been making some money as I learn how to day and swing trading hopping that I can pull it off. If I can, I can control my life instead of working for someone else.

Glad your OK Ken, I was thinking about you as well.
I had the carpet pulled out from me after 26 years with the
company in 1999, 6 months later I bought the owner out when he went to retire. The rest is history. It will all work out
just keep moving forward...

See ya, Ken

Hey Ken, been there also, twice! Not easy but it sure worked out for me, got out of a couple of go-nowhere jobs to the one I have now which is fantastic. I wish you the best and keep your chin up buddy!

Thanks Guys;

I know things will work out for me. Just trying to figure things out and put things together again. I must say that since I was 16 years old I have been working non stop. I haven’t had more that 10 consecutive days off since then.
I’ve been really active doing the stock market thing, we will see if it pays the bills, so far in 3 months it has no profits but so far paying the bills.
It is really nice to get up in the morning and go for a 1 hr. walk instead of a 30 min. drive to work, not ware a tie, having enough freedom to go take a long lunch with a friend, working in flip flops and a pair of shorts. Setting my own pace and working out of my home office. We will see how it works out for me. I know I can always get a job if this doesn’t work out.
