Ditto on the heat gun and razor blade.I removed lots of vinyl lettering and graphics from glass boats the same way.

Lots of times i didn't have to use the scraper.
I would apply heat until i could lift a corner of the vinyl, and then star pulling as i applied heat foward.

In the old days when a lot of names and graphics were hand painted,my buddy who's a sign painter, would use oven cleaner to remove the painted lettering.
I watched him do this to several trucks and vans, with no damage to the vehicles paint. It kind of scares me though.
