Thoughts on 20' seacraft heading out to look at..
Taking a 6 hr round drive from cape in minutes with ferry ride today on top off. and slept like crap last eve on couch. sea trial a 20' seacraft end of LI. 03 suzuki 140,warranty till 09. transom raised 5", professional job, not rebuilt but raised. decks taken off, not rebuilt stringers but cleaned up, new 35 gallon gas tank. home wired, pics looked okay. hull bead blasted and painted, awlgrip fight yellow top sides. clean solid looks good exterior ok interior, no ttop. ff,gps plotter, vhf. scuppers done self bail.
believe early 70's hull asking for confirmation. asking 14500. nada motor about 4K. 24K receipts in 03. trailer single axle new srpings/rollers/bearings repacked 03.spare bearings/hubs spare in air. If checks out, seems to me ~ 12K? taking motor and trailer say 5K, cut recepits of 24K in half, deduct 10% per year since 03...hard to tell... I will post pics when back, and if not buying let y'all know. PS-Metan Marine had some very interesting rigs for sale. Totally spanking just redone 20' with 140 Suzuki something mentioned about 25K lowest no t-top or electronics, and a redone couple years back 23 with twin i/o for like 20,900-owned by fellow working there. Both tempting but bit outside clams on 20 want to spend, and I/O causes a shiver expecially with twins...and no shallow H20. -Josh

It's a tough one at that price asking. I may make offer but with caveat-don't sell it as no way no you can replace this solid of a rig for what i'd pay! really nice guy and family, enjoyed the pizza and yankees/sox chat. 1st time to end of LI. I think it is worth 8500-9500 to me. there are some great boats out there and still looking.

Re: Thoughts on 20' seacraft heading out to look at..
Saw your post on a 20' Seacraft out on Long Island. I'm trying to sell my 23" Tsunami and go back to a 20' center console. It's tough as no one seems to want this model Seacraft. I actually went looking for it when my kids were younger it was great traveling from Sesuit to Ptown or Bss River to Monomoy as when the wind picked up we were covered and didn't get wet. Plus having the head in the cuddy was good for the girls. As soon as I can sell I'm going to buy a center console so I can go back to fishing the bay and shallow flats by myself!!!! . My business has been taking my out to LI alot via the New London-Orient Point ferry. I also go to Nantucket weekly so the ferry to LI I think is treat. I too live on the Cape in Yarmouth so if you see any 20' Center console you might not be interested in let me know. Not stuck on a Seacraft although I've always been happy with the ride. I'll let you know if I run into anything as well. Jim

Josh, I know of a 20ft sf with a 150hpdi in orleans. I think with the right offer the guy might sell it. last year, he said he was thinking of selling it.
