Default New to the forum...

Hello to all!
I have check in here every now and then but had to register now that I purchased a 20 ft 1970 Potter Built. The boat has been partially restored but I have many changes in mind and hopefully they will take place this coming winter.
For now I plan to hang a Yamaha 150 4 stroke on the bracket and rig the basics to get me through the summer/fall.
She is a sexy boat ready for some life! The one thing I do not like about the restore work done is they put 2x4's under the floor so that will be the first part of the changes to be made.

Here are a few pics until I get the engine rigged...

Sorry to say on your pictures, I think only photo bucket will post the image to this site. Other than that you must use the url instant ubb code.

Good luck with new boat.

Welcome to the site Calibogue! Did you purchase that boat from someone in Savannah? I have been trying to get over there to check out the operation and thought that I'd seen that one advertised. Best of luck with her. Hope to see you in the Broad! Vezo, Part II.

I think you can just remove the "[image]" from both ends of the shutterfly string and paste the rest of it to your post -- see what The Hermit did.. Good luck

I did buy the boat from a guy in Savannah. The work on the boat was supposedly done in FL but I/we dont know who...go figure!
I did find 2 soft spots in the floor yesterday but I planned to remove the floor this winter anyway for some custom work and to add rigging tubes. I will be rigging the electronics next week, and likely adding the engine in about 2 weeks.
For now I will be in the Mitzi Skiff and will be in the May this weekend!
I tried the pics w/out the image code but it just gives me a link, no image is pasted to the site. I dont know?

I believe that boat was don hermans 20 that he sold maybe 6 months ago. The guy mikey has been buying and selling a couple of hulls on here, hulltruth, and florida sportsman. I would give don a shout at www.hermco.net to verify if it is the same boat and see what exactly has been done since the boat was sold. If its dons old boat whatever he did would be good quality work, but I would go over any repairs done after the boat was sold to make sure they were done correctly
