Default My old Seacraft, I think

Just found this site, Glad to be here.

First of all, I am not 100% sure it is a Seacraft but everyone who knows them tell me it is. I have had older gentlemen come up to me, even in boats and say

"Wow! thats a kool old Seacraft, Havent seen one of those in a while!"

So how can I not know for sure? We salvaged the boat sometime around 73-75, not exactly sure when. We spotted it from the air in my dads plane deep back in a canal. it was sunk and all that was showing was the rail and windshield. We jumped in our 14' boat, ran 5 miles to it, spent half a day floating it then putted back home. All the ID plates were knocked off, there was no registration number or any identifying numbers but one plate saying rated for 125hp. The engine was gone.

After contacting authorities and no one laying claim to it, we layed claim to it.

Others who have seen it claim it may be a very early hull, maybe even 68, I dont know.

For now I only have this picture but I may take more. It currently has a 130 Yamaha which needs a new lower unit, hasnt floated in 2 years though I just started to get it back last weekend.

I grew up with this boat taking it out on the water before I had a drivers license. When Dad passed away in 88, I inherited it.

Anyways, anyone know for sure what it is? Tell me what I need to do to help ID it. Thanks

Yes,

I'll take pictures tomorrow of different angles and the interior to post. I looked at the 73 catalog on this site and while some things are distinctly the same like the console shape and inside layout, the 73 models look much more modern.

We need to see some exterior shots of the transom and bow head on.
