Default In what ways did the 20SF design change in 1982?

How does the 20SF built by Sea Craft Industries in 1982 differ from earlier models?

All I know from the brochure is that:
http://www.classicseacraft.com/broch...ure/index.html

1) It was lengthened by 8’’ from 19’8’’ to 20’’4’’
2) 14’’ was added to the cockpit (whatever that means)
3) It is about 300lbs heavier

Has anyone ever compared a 1982 or later to an earlier model side by side? What are the differences? Are the sides (gunnels) any lower? Higher? Where did they add the length?
Where did the added weight come from? Any difference in the ride?

Thanks!
