Default 73 mako

I went an looked at a 73 mako 17 it had a 135hp evinrude an it ran fine the boat is faded an has the wear of a 73 but it is ready to fish just needs tlc. Do you think 1800.00 is to much money for the boat. steveo

I quess you Classic Mako guys are really desperate
with there site being down....

But steveo welcome to CSC and yes it does sound
like a fair price. Roughly add up what repairs
boat, motor & trailer will need and let that
be the deciding factor..

See ya, Ken

Make sure the decks (cap and main deck) and transom are solid. Tight lines

No experience with gelcoat but there are other options, many users have used Signature Finish (I used on my Seacraft) which you can apply, and of course Awlgrip, Imron and other paints. Hopefully some of the users have experience with gelcoat and can help you if that is what you are set on. I would think to paint the entire boat with Signature Finish about 1k.
