Default 1978 23 Center Console-Cap removal

Getting ready to begin restoration of my 23 footer, I keep it in storage about 10 miles from the house (free). I want to take the cap off to replace rotten wood where the cleats pulled out on the bow. What tools would you suggest to aid in the cap removal?? I don't want to have to drive home to get more tools, I will have power so a drill, electric grinder, hacksaw, razor knife, various screwdrivers, and crow bar. The transom will be repalced once the cap is back on, do I have to cut the cap in the rear by the storage boxes to get it off?

I will also be removing the console for a facelift and the hatches for recoring.

Thanks
