Default Looking for a 3rd crew member

It is a little short notice, but one of my usual crew members bailed out on a Bahama fishing trip next week. We will be leaving Fri 7-31 and plan to return home the following Friday. Weather is really what will drive our schedule. We will leave out of St. Lucie inlet at sun up, clear customs at Walkers, pick up some fuel at Grand Cay, and head down to Foxtown (little Abaco) to spend the week there. The way home is a straight shot out of Foxtown acrossed the Sea of Abaco and then back to Stuart. The week will consist of lots of fishing aboard my 1998 23' CC seacraft. Mainly Grouper and Snapper and a significant amount of deep dropping. I fish hard when in the islands and leave the dark hours for relaxing by the dock with my favorite beverages. If you would like to add some lobster in the mix we could accomadate, I have lost interest in diving a bit and normally just snag a few bugs for food off the locals but I am flexible depending on what the crew wants to do.

At Fox Town there is not much other than fishing. There is basically nothing of any significance nearby so the week is all about fishing and relaxing. No great night life, and no Tourist attractions. There is a small grocery store, fuel dock, and a few little bars. I try to bring everything I will need and limit my spend to fuel and ice while there.

Cost is around $1000-$1200 per person and I only have room for 1 in the boat. The room has 2 beds and one of us will need to use an air bed (by the way it will be more comfortable than the hotel bed). A passport is also required.

If we can get it together quick enough I would like to fish together this weekend (sunday) as well to give us a chance to get to know eachother and make sure we all have a comfort level before departing on such a long trip.

I wish I could get the time off. I would love to do a trip like this. Hopefully in 2 years I will have my boat done and can follow you over there!

It looks like you live around the corner from me... we will have to get together some time and kill a few fish. I did find that 3rd person so all is well. I will give you a shout next time I plan a trip but it may be next August before I have a good vacation planned. Otherwise I may fly over for a few weekends here and there.

You are certainly welcome to tag along as a buddy boat whenever your ready. Hopefully you'll be in the water pretty soon.

Thanks,
Ken
