I had a '75 18 SF for a few years that was a great, solid little boat. I put a 140 Zuke four stroke on the back, which was little heavy for the boat, but it ran like a Ferrari. A little stubby pushing into seas compared to a 23, but they're not all that much smaller/lighter than a 20. Honestly, I've twice asked to buy it back from the guy I sold her to! Try to catch a ride on one, you may be surprised.

Roger that, deepsushi.
Not sure how to ask/tell the Admiral Or where I'll put it - But like Jimmy Buffet might say "we'll deal with that later..."

This was my first year running a SF18, and SC for that matter, and I love it!!! Mine has a 140 Zuke, also. Like bmajvi said, it's a little heavy in the rear, but runs like a Ferrari.
