Just picked up my 76 23!!!

I still have to find an engine & electronics for it, but I am pretty excited to have it home in my driveway! The transom is enclosed, but in a somewhat unconventional manner. Instead of totally enclosing the it, there is a 3 inch wide piece of glass all the way across the front section. The bracket is shorter than avg since the engine can still tilt into the transom. Let me know what you think! I am thinking 250 hpdi or 4 stroke, open to suggestions though.

a 250 4s would be perfect. My friend has that combo on his 23 Sceptre ..... nice.

The boat is in Scituate Mass. I will climb in there this weekend (wrapped) and take some pics of the back of the cockpit. It really came out great. Unique design, the guy who did it had some concerns with the boat porpoising if the bracket extended too far. I don't think that is much of a concern, but regardless he was cautious. You will love the ride of the 23’ CC and a 250 Hp is a great choice. If I were in the market for a motor I would be looking at Yamaha and Suzuki in the 4 stroke or Evinrude in the 2 stroke.
