Best Paint for Trim-Tabs
I have unsuccessfully attempted to paint my trim-tabs. The regular bottom paint I use, Micron Extra, wears off after a few months leaving the tabs unprotected. Any suggestions? I have heard that Trilux 33 will adhere to the tabs - anybody here have any experience with it? thanks for advice

Re: Best Paint for Trim-Tabs
interlux makes an outdrive and trim tab paint for aluminum and metal- it comes in a spray can and I buy it at West Marine. It usally lasts a full season for me

You may find this hard to believe, but plain old
Rust-Oleum works great, and it is cheaper! See ya, Ken

Re: Best Paint for Trim-Tabs
If you do you Tri Lux 33, you will need to use the Vinyl Primewash 353/354 underneath as a primer.
Not sure Rustoleum has any antifouling properties to it. |

Re: Best Paint for Trim-Tabs
I sanded all. Used Interlux Interprotect 2 part epoxy - then put on Trilux - works awesome ! 98% adherence - a few spots (2%) worth, the Interprotect came off - I'll touch up this year. No growth ! ( New York water )
