Amen brother!! My 2003 225hp EFI Mercury burns almost twice the GPH as my brother's 225 Honda at regular crusing RPM, 3800rpm, which my boat likes. His is a 25' Aquasport with a 17" prop the same pitch as mine. We both have the same brand flow meters. This is pretty simple math.....a day of trolling for me is around 50 gal, for him around 25 gal X $3.50/gal (marina price) = I'm getting killed.
