Where did you buy the motor? Pratt & Whitney makes jet engines and has plants all over Ct. If it was anywhere near Ct., you may simply have bought a Johnson motor that was owned by a Pratt & Whitney employee! The only thing that's "P&W like" on an outboard would be the price mark-up on the spare parts!

As a former P&W engineer in the military side of the business, I know that we used to collect various stickers and pass them out to the mechanics and guys in the shop when they did us a favor. They were highly valued by the mechanics, who used to plaster them all over their tool boxes, etc.! It wouldn't surprise me to see one stuck on an outboard!

Well that certainly helps. I went online and discovered P&W makes airplane engines, but I had i guy tell me that P&W made that engine and owned johnson outboards for sometime, which i did not believe. I bought the bought from a guy here in south jersey. I will find out who had it before the guy I bought it from. But thanks for the information!
