Default Bit the bullet...

Well, I'm a SeaCraft owner again! This time around a '77 23' Sceptre, now a bracketed outboard/formerly an I/O, a couple soft spots in the floor to fix up, as well as a couple suspicious delaminated sounding spots in the transom. Ran well in the sea trial, I think it's okay to use as is for now, and fix up gradually (at least that's what I'm telling myself and my wife!). Might move in the direction of a Savage type conversion downstream, but not in any big rush. Hope to splash her tomorrow weather permitting, pix to follow. Many thanks to Fellowship for his help and counsel! Brian

Here are a couple of pictures of Brian’s new boat.

It is actually a 76 that was first titled in 77

Enjoy her Brian

Had a good day on the water (nothing broke!), a little overcast but very smooth water for us. Will try to post a couple pix my wife took from a dock on Buck Island. No fishing, just a little snorkeling and getting to know the boat. George - Yes, we shipped it down from Florida, just didn't find anything I really wanted in my price range down here. The fish population has suffered all over the Caribbean over the past 20 years, but sometimes you bump into them - landed 14 Wahoo on a friend's boat a couple months ago, biggest one 64 lbs. Ken/Fellow-Ship: Yeah, I had to explain to the local marine registration folks that it was like a car, built in '76 but sold & titled in '77. Will try to get a little larger pix up soon...
