Do you think it is priced well or to much for the year of it? any help here will be greatly appreciated. thanks Brian

From what I have seen for sale before that is kinda high. But like you said that is just asking price.

I thought that sounded like a good deal but then I checked over on nada dot com and I guess it does seem high.

Are there any other benefits? For example I bought a used engine from a local boat yard for a little more than market price, didn't even negotiate the price. And when I needed work on it a bit later, I got treated like a prince. Front of the line, and on the low end of the labor hours estimate, when it was all said and done.

Plus, paying a little more now means hopefully you will get more when you go to sell it...

If they give you a lower unit oil sample and the compression checks out I think its fair from what I have seen. Used motors are always a crap shoot, but just do your homework and it will be ok.

Looks like you must have sold your other boat?

I havent gotten to talk to the guy on the phone yet, just email but he said he can run it for me and give me print outs of all the data from the engine.I called 30 dealers today within 125miles from me and no one had a used engine. this one is a little further but I'm hoping it will be worth it. and I would think he would throw in some kind of warranty with it to. Wildman i did finally sell the pursuit, stuck it out on 28 at the vfw for the fishermans yard sale and it sold in just a couple of hours.
