Default New Seacraft owner, 1974 20'SF

I'm new to the forum and recently purchased a 1974 Seacraft 20' SF I believe from looks of other photo of other peoples boats. She's got a 1985 150 VRO Envinrude on her stern and is all 100% original with solid decks, just need to recore the hatches in the deck. I got a couple questions about my new boat hoping maybe a few of you guys can help me out. First of is, after of the console is a hatch what looks like was used as a bait well? Is this little cover a normal use?

The ownder of the boat did not use the boat he was selling it for a friend. My other question is this has a switch on the console for the fuel tanks, and it is a two position switch does this tend to mean I have two tanks? I only have one fill station

Here is some boat porn for you all.

Congatulations. Is that a switch or is it a valve. If a valve does it turn in line from one side to the other as 180 degrees or just a 45? Look on the backside and see what is attached. If it serves 2 tanks it would have 2 hoses in & 2 out. If not it may just be an on off valve. The 20 I believe on came with 1 tank as standard. Hope this may help

Figured I'd give some updates after todays adventures..... With some help of a fellow SeaCaft owner, the hatches have been recored, and the fuel tank has been emptied. I found that I only have on tank, and have a goofy switch.

And todays adventures the tire fell off my trailer, the hub split from the bearing housing of the hub. The bearings were completely intact on the spindle and the tire fell off.

i used to have the same powerplant on my 73 20sf. same blue on the sides too. motor moved te boat real good too. the livewell in the back does keep bait alive. i guess yours is plumbed the same way mine is. it will flood the deck if you are running. i had to get a bigger outlet pump for it and its a little better.

That guy in the first picture should be a hand model!

Hermit you know the Garfield guys? That is Brian's truck, its a good truck, but not really where oilfield want to see his boat at the end of the day.

Its too bad, we had just figured out the fuel delivery problem and the day was going well, there is always tomorrow.

I have had some work done there in the past. I like the 20. My old 20 came very much in the same condition with the same engine.

Good luck with the boat..... Won't be long now.

That is not fun I,ve been there when I was in my 20's. Looks like new axle & hubs. FYI I learned a long time ago when broke down on alligator alley being eaten by misquitos and approched by some that said they wanted to help???? NOT REALLY. Order them back into there car and well I can be very persuasive on that matter Then jack her up have a fully complete hub put it on and go, spare hub is much better than the alternative. Thinking always
