Restored 23
I apologize for not keeping up my thread about our build. I was posting on another local website, and managing 2 seperate threads on seperate sites was too much.
Anyway - we splashed our newly restored 23 this past saturday for the first time. Boat was purchased in September of 2008. We powered her with a new Yamaha F-250 4 Stroke. The deck was removed. The stringers were dug out, repoured and closed. The deck was replaced with 3/4" marine ply glassed with epoxy top and bottom. New 110 Gallon 3/8" aluminum fuel tank. The boat has a brand new console and new atlantic towers T-Top. 3 battery system under the console, Raymarine E120 with airmar thru hull. New Nextrail 7000lb tandem axle trailer. The leaning post is a nautical design with tackle storage and built in cooler. The hull was sprayed with Signature Finish Sea Foam green. The inside with Easypoxy satin white. The deck and gunnels were taped and rolled with durabak. She's got all pop up gem-lux stainless hardware, solid bronze thru hulls with 2 x 2000 gph bilge pumps and saltwater wash-down. Lenco 12 x 12 trim tabs and the list just goes on and on. |

Re: Restored 23
Performance numbers -
We just did get 10 hours on the engine so i think we will get some different results later on down the line. I forgot to take down the GPH figures but : 3500 RPM = 20 - 22 mph getting about 3.6 mpg (tabs down, engine down and we can keep her on plane) 4000 RPM = 28 - 30 mph getting 3.1 mpg 4500 RPM = 35 mph getting 2.8 mpg WOT = 5700 RPMs and we touched 46 mph with 2 big men, fishing gear, and roughly 60 gallons of fuel in the tank. |

Re: Restored 23
Beautiful redo. Good luck with her. Looks that Yami is a good match. Like the FLY deck.

Re: Restored 23
I have been following this build for a while now. glad to here she is finally done. This boat was actually the final staw in helping me decide to cut out the entire floor instead of just trying to repair the one in my boat now. Hope fur blue skies and calm seas, but if not thats why you have a seacraft
