Default Remodeling an older 23' seacraft

Hi I was wondering if anyone on here can give me some help on references, cost, tips, and/or ideas on doing a full remodel on a 23' seacraft. I am looking at closing in the transom, putting twin 175 suzuks or 150 yamahas on it, hard top, redo decks, stringers, etc.
I am located in stuart, florida
Thank you for any help

References: do a search here and you will read for days

Cost: 40K

Tips: Have a pro do it for you if you have not done this before...then add another 10K to your 40K

Ideas: buy one for 1/2-2/3 the cost already restored and go boating the next day. Otherwise plan on waiting a year or two for your dream boat to become a reality.

I would go along with that, but if it was done by a pro, the numbers would be higher depending on the quality of work and materials. And I would say 3-4 mths. :-)

This is what I had in mind for a remodel. I saw this boat on Grand Cay at Maxe's over the 4th
of July weekend, but nobody was around to answer any questions about it. It was a very clean boat and looked like it was done by a professional. Any ideas on cost to do a remodel like this one? Thanks again for any help.

I think the previous posts are pretty darn close...If you are looking for a lower price, FORGETABOUTIT

No I am not looking for a lower price. I am a firm believer in "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR". I am just looking for some help in the right direction. Such as are twins too heavy for the boat, does anyone on here have twin 175 suzukis on a 23' with a bracket, has anyone had there 23' redone by a professional on the Treasure Coast or South Florida area, new fuel tank placement and how many gallons is too much, just looking for tips like that. Thanks

I've just completed a resto on mine. I paid a pro to perform the "major" work I could not do/do not have time for/no place to work. I re-assembled everything else; bracket, engine, wiring, hardware, plumbing, etc. It's been ~ 9 months and needless to say, much $$$$, time, blood, sweat, tears, yada yada. This has brought about a new level of admiration for the guys on this site that restore one start to finish. Depending on your own effort and the materials chosen you could have $60K+ with engines.

I agree $40k to $60k for a complete redo and new twins. If you are not a CSC "do it yourselfer", buy one already restored.
