Default Stryker T-tops

I'm looking at putting a T-Top on my 74 20 ft CC. With the console so wide, I'm concerned of walking space between teh console and the gunnel. And to me the cost of a complete custom Top it isn't worth it. I've been looking at the these stryker adjustable tops. Has anyone on here used their stuff before?

I don't plan on getting an outrigger set up, just a e-box with some launchers. Appreciate y'alls input.

do you find that the forward section of the top has enough bend to prevent the sail effect?

How did you like their accessories?

At the clamps on the top of the top I was thinking of using some sort of rubber or teflon to maybe prevent the clamps from chattering. Have you experienced anything like that?

Is your 20 have the factory blue or has it been redone? I think I have the same color from seacraft

I think Texascoastalfish sold his 20 and has another SC a SeaCat.

I thought about one, but I decided against it for multiple reasons. Really though I decided against any t-top.

Reading that thread I saw that people have also referred to CE smith tops, I had a hard time finding pricing on it. Anyone know of their distributor closest to cape? I went through their distributor list trying find it but my Interweb skills are not always the most thorough

You can probably have a top made for less than that CE Smith, the canopy is also pretty big for a 7'6" wide 20'SC IMHO. Jamestown Distributors has one they put one on , look it un YouTube, I believe.

I've seen adds on Craigslist looking for T-Top work and had them give me a price, done this with a few people its more than a T-Top is worth to me all been 2000-3000 plus then a canopy needs to be purchased. So I'm exploring the other options of these adjustable tops.

Pelican, what do you mean by good product? I've been comparing to custom and adjustable have used the same materials, they just have joints. Chatter is the only thing I can think of as a problem from the joints themselves.

Hermit, thanks for point me in that direction

the problems are, attempting to "fit" that piece to your boat - the joints indeed are a weak link...

a good estime for price is $100,per boat ft...that's how it goes in my area, top,as in top is included in that price...get a fiberglass skin, versus a canvas "soft" top...

trust me,i've seen these style tops installed and i've seen and heard clients, say "i shuolda listend to you"...

custom,is not available on an assembly line...

get a product,"fit" to your boat,VS "fitting" a product to your boat...
