If I can't go 50 I don't want it. If the wife say's slow down she can put down her drink.

I'm with Fred, sorta, I'm conflicted. I like going fast, and yours looks sweet screamin by, but that config is gonna suck if you find yourself in the slop offshore and need to drop back to 20 knots.
On the other hand, if you keep a go-fast prop and a go-offshore prop, you can compensate for the low end torque and have the best of both worlds. Have fun! Dave

Yea20sf....I had it up to 62 with a empty tank by myself.. Ran a cleaver prop on it and actually lost a couple mph.
Jaybap.. It is a big motor, and I regreted it for the fact of it just weighing too much.. Hard to fish out of in a rough sea. FDheld... Big motors are for big boys.. Wildbill... It sounds like we have a lot in common hahahaha.... |

SeaCraft haulin' arse, shootin ' a little rooster..definate head turner.
Oversized trim tabs and a 23 pitch merc revolution 4 just breaking the surface could be the ticket for that big motor combo. Still alot of stern weight for the rough stuff though.

Never had trim tabs on it.. I actually ran a 23 on it, but a 3 blade.. It had plenty of hole shot.. 4 blades just make it lose top end.

Well guys... I was just told by a fellow member that this boat is back up for sale. I just sold this last september with the suzuki on it... Guess he sold the motor and took the brand new canvas top off of it.. If oyu only knew how many hours I have into this thing fixing it up. I put in about $28,000 into this boat, and now he has it for sale in north Carolina for a bargain. I would like someone on here to buy it so I can watch her grow again!! Let me know if anybody wants restoration pics.. There is a lot of money sitting there for only 6500... I have $3k in floors, 1000 in gas tank. $3k in awlgrip paint inside and out.. I am really bummed... Think I should buy it back!!
