1970 20' Repower
Hello guys I posted for some help on repowering my Sea Craft. I bought it with a 250hp yamaha and it was sitting low in the back. I repowered it with a 130 E-Tec and the boat rides amazing! I had 4 people on it with a full tank of full and was running 39mph. Most importantly the boat sits perfectly in the water. Thanks everyone for the advice! Here are some pics. I added before and after photos, let me know what you think.

Now that's how a SeaCraft should sit in the water! I gather that you're satisfied with that motor! These boats don't need a lot of power if they're set up and balanced right. Curious to know how much your min planing speed changed and what your WOT rpm is with that load? Here's a great web site you should check out that will tell you optimum WOT rpm for your motor: http://www.etecownersgroup.com/post/...u-2011-5396435 Motor is at optimum height when the AV plate is completely out of water when you're up on plane and fully trimmed out for normal cruise.
If you haven't already done so, I'd strongly recommend you run only XD100 oil and have the dealer set the ECM for it. It's more expensive but you'll use less of it and the motor will build up a lot less carbon. My dealer buys it in bulk and I believe sells it at close to cost. Last gallon I bought was $35 a few months ago and it's good for 100-150 gallons of gas!
