I used a piece of 4in PVC cut in half as a chase tucked up under my transom cap. This was for the line for my tuna tubes. I have also seen guys make a 8inX8in box that is closed at the top, to a wire chase.

I also glassed in a little 'shelf' even with the top of the stringers so I had something to fasten my deck to. It was made out of scrap penske, and in this picture you can see the 2x4 that was used to support it while I tabed it in.

i would bulld a gunnel height storage box on each side then a smaller gunnel across the back and make the turn in the box and run the rigging under the cap you build.

What happened to the corner boxes that used to be in there? If it was my decision, I would make a flat clear deck all the way back to the transom then scuppers out the back. I like being able to walk back to the motor on small boats, the only part I regret about my transom is not putting in a door!

I still have the rear interiour setion from the teardown it is in one peice and could go back in but im with you on the idea that i want it as open as possible in the rear of the boat. im going to build it similar to stricks design. i need to make the mold and then make the part. so we will see. i have never done anything like that before.
