Default I'm back in a Seacraft!!

After selling my 1978 23 inboard CC 5 years ago, I just put a deposit on a 1973 20SF with a 1990 merc 115 that runs great. The hull looks great but there are plenty of cosmetic issues inside. She is fishable right now and I hope to take advantage of the the fall striper run and albie bite by next week. The deck is decent and transom seems strong. I will post some pictures once I get my photobucket password reset. Let me know if you guys think she looks pretty original, console, seat, etc... The fuel tank is under the forward seat of the console above deck. Is that the original configuration? Plans include fixing the cc cosmetic issues, new deck sometime next year and add leaning post to replace original sliding box aft seating. It's good to be back!

Definitely looks fishable!!!!

I'd put some scales on the deck before i tore into her. Wait til it gets cold and then apply the elbow grease.

Thanks guys, is it the concensus that the boat looks pretty much original, ie console, seat and fuel tank placement under the seat of the center console above deck?

MY 1970 LOOKS VERY CLOSE TO YOURS, SAME CONSOLE, TANK UNDER ,
MINE HAD THE SAME SEAT ,,BUT ALL MY HATCH & SEAT LIDS WERE TEAK,

WHAT I did,,,,, replaced my tank but still is under the console, replaced my worn out teak with new teak. varnished ,, all lids, seat, fishbox lid etc, I took my low bow rail off, put a new t top on her, she still has the classic look with the teak and origonal yellow hull.. I bought mine 26 years ago....I am not to good with photos on sites but a photo of mine is in the NJ get together thread here,,,

congrads on the boat..,

Joe, how many gallons is your tank? It does not seem very big as it appears to only be under the seat and not into the under console area. Thanks.

I definetly plan on putting some scales on the deck prior to anything. I'm just anxious to see the difference in ride between my old 23 and now the 20. I've never been on the water in a 20 SF.
