Default floor to stringer attachment?

im told i should not directly glass the bottom of the floor to the top of the stringers, so what do i put between them then? i am installing the last 20 inches of floor where i removed the old wash well and lids since i redid the full transom with bracket. thanks.

There is no reason that I know of as to why you cant glass the floor to the stringers although I dont know of too many people that do that due to the difficulty of doing so. In your instance it might be better to just lay some cabosil down on top of the stringers and screw the floor down. Glass your seams and what ever else needs to be done.

Below is a shot showing the floor glassed to the stringers on my 25 seafari. This was factory 1973 Potter era.
