For any of our South or North Carolina brethren that like adventure, we have a "river run" down the Cooper River to Charleston, SC. planned. See the link below for more info:

Thumbs up

That's gonna be a great ride, did it myself in the late 90's while stationed at Charleston AFB and living in the Goose Creel Naval housing area, beautiful scenes and unforgettable memories, enjoy!

Looks like a great trip. I hope I can make it. My daughter is going to School in Charleston and we just love that City.. How many Seacrafts do you get on that run?

Usually we have between 6-9 boats make the trip each year. This is the first year I posted the trip on CSC. There are quite a few SeaCrafts in my area and in SC. Trying to enlist some more SeaCrafts on a super fun trip.

That's my neck of the woods. I may join in around Chas Harbor. Just FYI and I'm sure the organizer communicated this; stay on plane and well away from the Naval Weapons Station. It's ~ 1-2 miles south of BP dock/Bushy Park boat landing. You'll notice the RIB's with machine guns

I live on lake moultrie. Wish my seacraft was done. Maybe I could get it running enough to be the ratrod of the bunch. Flat white paint, pull the cowl off the motor and a few other pieces missing.

Is this trip a down and back or do we need to get rides back up to our trucks and trailers?

Set a date. Enjoy. I like looking at rats and hearing about
the plans. In the 80s I had a 52 f1. 7 colors and fun.

I'm the trip organizer and been on this trip 25-30 times. Yeah, you are right they don't play when you are at/near the Naval weapons station. They have mounted 50 cal machine guns on the RiB and every crew member (theirs not us) is toting an M-16!! Not a good place to stop for a pee break.

The trip is down (on Saturday) AND back (on Sunday), so no need for car transportation back to the ramp.
