A dinghy question
Has anyone here used a dinghy with a 25 footer? I don't want yachty looking davits, just wonder if an inflatable could be used and stowed, or something could be lashed across the transom cross- ways. Or is there a 40 MPH rated dinghy for a Nantucket sleigh ride?

I used a Sevlor inflatable for a while. Poor.
You have room for a couple of short kayaks on the gunnels between the windshield and transum. |

If you have or are planning to put on a full width swim platform, they make hardware that allows the inflatable to attach to the platform and then pivot up out of the water while underway.

what about something like this . . . I'm sure you could strap it down somewhere. |

Quote:
Montgomery 6'8" is the shizzle. Probably fit on your bow or transom. Lap-strake w/pram bow might just do the 40 knot Nantucket sleigh-ride.

I am looking for mooring access. The Avon might work for now, thanks! I don't know how small they fold up. I have another idea, too but it will take a year to execute. I live in a family of boat builders, and there might be a collapsing Bolger inspired design in my future. I roughed it out last night in CAD. But a small RIB/ IB would be great for the first year. I'll have "my man in Mattapoisett" check it out.
