Default filling holes in transome

im going to repower my boat now ive got a 93 evinride. depending on what I end up with if the current hole arnt the same , I don't think they would be probly I never repowed a outboard, what is the right way to fill the holes ?epoxy?

The holes will be the same- outboards in this size range have all had the same pattern for some time- the 80's roughly. It is a standard.
