Default Rigging question.

Hey Everyone. I'm finally getting around to starting my 20' CC build and I have the first of many questions. Is there any reason the throttle/shift cables/steering hoses etc cannot go down in between the center two stringers? It looks like it originally crossed over the inner starboard stringer and ran up that side of the boat. The boat will be bracketed if that makes a difference. I ask this because I got this boat as just a hull with stringers. No floor, no transom and no liner. Blank canvas. So I have no clue how it was done originally and don't have enough experience rigging boats to know. Thanks!!

Adam

Basket in reworking my 23 I was able to run two 11/2 schedule 10 pvc pipes done on each side of the fuel tank into the bilge area I'll thenrun control cables thru the o/b bracket.I feel this will be helpfully in making less bends in the cables and a shorter cable

Adam, if you're rigging a boat with a bracket, instead of just running everything out the transom and across the swim platform, it'll look a lot cleaner if you run the rigging thru the flotation tub and then up through the swim platform. That's the way Don Herman and Caymanboy have rigged their brackets, and Don sells rigging kits for it. (You'll need an access plate in top of bracket to do that however.) Denny

I would definitely plan to do it that way. Looks like it'd be fine running down the center then. I'm just planning my stringers right now and wanted to see if I need to leave the nothches for the rigging or just glass over them as I raise the deck. Thanks folks!
