Awesome!! I would rather go gigging than almost anything! Check out Pensacola fishing forum's gigging section.

Did you ever go gigging on the flats in Charleston harbor on down in Florida?

Pretty nice door-mat. That looks like a lot of tasty fun. Pretty skinny water, no? Do gig from a SeaCraft, or more of a flat-bottom, or flats boat? Or can you just walk the shallows without spooking them?

There are many people that walk the shallows with a float for the battery and cooler.. I prefer not to as there are a lot of stingrays and stone fish .
That I do not care for.. .. I use my 13 foot whaler. most guys use a jon boat or a carolina skiff. both are flat bottom. we gig in about 10" to4 feet depending on clarityof water.. I use qbeam underwater lights. hooked up to two separate batteries. then there are guys with the gensets and flood lights.. Went last week and got 9 before the wind blew us out. .Last night WE got 12, weather was pretty choppy but we managed. Going again tonight. probably for the last time as the flounder pretty much have moved out to the gulf
