Fripp Island, SC Fishing Help
Hey Guys,
Heading down to Fripp Island for a wedding next weekend and I extended the trip into a small vacation. I would love to get some fishing in. I was hoping some of the gents familiar with the area could point me in the right direction by telling me where I should go, what I can expect to catch, how to catch them and any recommendations for a local guide. Coming from MA, I have very little experience fishing down there. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thanks! |

Gmac, try the creek that runs thru the island as I picked up some flounder and trout there before. The inlet is good too around the rocks. Mostly flounder and maybe some red drum. I fished from the land. You need to catch some live bait ( finger mullet) if you can. I will say the water has been slow to warm up with the cold front machine stuck in high for us. The cobia will be at the Broad River bridge in May.

Jeff's spot on. The water is trying to warm up, slowly. You should consider a guide
