Default Cleat Location

I am in the final stages of rehabing the cap on my Tsunami and am looking for placement recommendations for installing 4 new pull up cleats. I have a clean palat except for where the rod holders are and am pondering my options.

I am pretty sure of the location of the rear cleats will go where the original hawsepipes were as they were deleted from a previous rebuild. The real question is where the other two will go. Below is a pic before the originals were deleted.

Mine has a spring line cleat about 2' forward of where yours is in the picture - that was very convienient when running by myself and its the right location for hanging a bumper but I'm not sure you could reach it easily with the diagonal brace for your top.

I was thinking that myself as I never used the bow cleats other than the single centered I have up there for the anchor. I can actually reach between the crossbar with no issue and could realisticly put it right next to the helm. My floor is raised and gives me a lot of reach I didnt have before.

That's what I would do. That's where mine is, and yours will be an easier reach. Very convenient

I tend to agree with all of the above...I put my center cleat somewhere close to midship where I could reach it...

So be it! I will locate them as close to the helm as easily reachable. Thanks guys.

at least there was a cousin across the water from it ... WE have looked at Sailfish as an alternative due to the wife dreaming in the 29 to 31 foot range.... but when she saw the price tag she said she would love to get to work on our 23 ... lol
